La Jolla, California

The sun dips below the horizon leaving its warm glow across the La Jolla Potholes.

This was my second evening shooting in La Jolla, California. The previous night was supposed to be a scouting trip that turned into an unplanned shoot (while my family sat in the car). I was more prepared this evening and was set in location before sunset started. The sky was clear prior to sunset. Fortunately, the wispy clouds slowly blew in giving sky some depth. The peaceful feeling of this image is deceiving—I was soaked to my waist before I left.
