Lyons, Colorado

The hillside is blanketed in a layer of ice from the previous night. I was fascinated by the subtle texture of the hillsides as we drove down U.S. 36 between Estes Park and Lyons. I tried to find a very unifom area to focus on the pattern. This image was almost black & white as it was captured.
